Parents are important partners in education.
Your child's artwork may be retained until the end of the school year for school displays and exhibitions. Scholastic Arts and Arts Fest are two of the various exhibitions Hope Highlands students may participate in. All student artwork that is not retained for display purposes will be returned by the end of each semester.
We are always in need of the following donated items:
magazines (National Geographic, Smitsonian, photography/ceramic magazines)
cereal box cardboard
frosting containers with lids or stackable containters with lids
baby wipes (for faster hand cleaning)
masking tape
If your child gets paint on his/her clothing try the following:
1. Rinse the area with cold water.
2. Put a small amount of dish soap or stain remover on the paint stain and rub the area well.
3. Rinse again with cold water.
4. Repeat as needed.
Students always ask where they can buy their own art supplies. There are many affordable stores that carry a large variety of art supplies and materials for students of all ages. Look for coupons in the newspaper or online, at stores such as AC Moore, Michael's, Job Lot, Hobby Lobby and Wal-mart.
